  15.      Some  time  in 1990 I purchased a program  called  NEOchrome 
  16. from  the  PUBLIC DOMAIN and after much clicking "n"  pointing  I 
  17. finally mastered the program.
  18.      As  I  saw it not a lot of documentation was  available  for 
  19. this program so I set about writing down  my thoughts and what  I 
  20. had learned from my use of the program.
  21.      Due  to various other projects I decided to pick it back  up 
  22. due  to a friends asking my advice about art programs.So this  is 
  23. it.  . . . How do I use it I here you say? Couldn't be easier, on 
  24. the  disk you will find 24 NEO picture files,just load your  copy 
  25. of NEOchrome into your ST and load in LESSON01.NEO.
  26.      FOR  THOSE  OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOAD  A  FILE  INTO 
  27. NEOchrome;
  28.      
  29.      *When  NEOchrome art package is loaded you will see  that  a 
  30. MENUBAR covers half of the screen.On this MENUBAR you should  see 
  31. in the bottom left hand side,15 boxes containing various icons.
  32.      *Using  the right hand mouse button click on the  icon  that 
  33. looks  like a disk,you should now be presented with the  standard 
  34. ATARI file selector box. . . . now load LESSON01.NEO
  35.  
  36.      Even if you are very familiar with NEOchrome I would  suggest 
  37. that you work through the lessons to enable you to understand the 
  38. way/abbreviations used within the tutorial,and who knows you might 
  39. learn something you didn't know.
  40.       An extra lesson called SAVELESN.NEO has been added to  this 
  41. disk,I  have deliberately not numbered this lesson as you are  free 
  42. to load it when you feel confident enough to use a few tools  and 
  43. draw on screen.
  44.      I  did  plan to include a version of NEOchrome  on  this  or 
  45. disk2,  however  as ATARI in their ultimate wisdom  have  decided 
  46. that  NEOchrome is not public domain you will have to  "purchase" 
  47. your own copy.
  48.      I  certainly hope that this tutorial is of benefit  to  you 
  49. and that you also check out disk2 for further explanation of ;

  58.      I also plan a third disk to cover the now infamous NEOchrome 
  59. Master program and its ability to display 10 screens,more than 16 
  60. colours on one screen plus lots of other new bits.
  61.      Should the response to this type of tutorial be  forthcoming 
  62. I may write other tutorials covering other art programs.  . . . .
